Determining our Destiny in Education
Blacks Created Schools and the Literacy Rate Increased when Blacks determined that they were responsible for the Educational Process of their children. In addition, the schooling and educational process started by Blacks collectively uniting initiated the start of Public Schools in the South for ALL people. DO YOU KNOW THAT?

DO YOU KNOW?
More than 10 million Black and Latino students attend school in states that have set proficiency standards for fourth grade reading so low they fall below even the most basic level.
REMEMBER: CHANGING OUR BELIEF...
The educational process is the responsibility of the parent. When we understand this, the parent will start educating the child upon birth at the latest and preferably during pregnancy. If we stick with the old belief that the educational process is the responsibility of the Government, the child's education will start at 4 or 5 years of age (i.e. creating a gap, which is mathematically and biologically, because of the way the brain develops, impossible to close – don’t be fooled) Pass it on, forward this, spread the message, etc Post Comments

DO YOU KNOW?
Only 15 percent of Black eighth graders read at a proficient level and less than 60 percent have been taught to read at even the most basic level. By the time they near HS graduation, Black and Latino teenagers have math and reading skills that are no higher than those of White middle school students.

HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILD READ:
It just makes sense that parents are responsible for teaching their child to read. Remember, a child enters school at 5 yrs of age. What helps with reading is the number of words a child knows. HOW MANY WORDS DOES YOUR CHILD KNOWS? Stay tune for the 3000 word campaign going on online dur

Pro Choice v. Pro Life (Violence and Bullying)

QUESTION:
With the amount of violence and bullying in our community and schools, should the African American community change its acceptance of a Pro-Choice stance, which resonate with Black youth, to one of Pro-life?

    Graduation Rates of Black Males

JUST IN. ONLY 47% of African American Males graduate from High Schools in America in 2007. Only 28% graduated in New York and New Jersey. NOW IT'S TIME TO UNDERSTAND WE HAVE TO INCREASE WHAT PARENTS KNOW ABOUT EDUCATION TO HELP THEM BE INVOLVED - POSITIVELY AND POWERFULLY.

QUESTIONS:
What do you know about Quality Education?
... MOST STATES' CONSTITUTIONS ONLY REQUIRE THEM TO PROVIDE AN ADEQUATE EDUCATION NOT QUALITY. What type of education is your child getting?...HINT. If you are concern about adequate yearly progress, Criterion Reference Test etc., You are thinking on the lines of Adequate Education Not Quality: SURPRISE. Parents, this is not the time to stay stuck on ignorance get educated on education.  Post Comments
