Dear Parents, Partners and Patrons,
We, at In My Shoes, Inc., have coined and are introducing a new term, and we want you to spread the word. The term is PPII (Positive Parent Involvement and Influence). We are moving from the old lack of knowledge PI (Parent Involvement) to PPII (Positive Parent Involvement and Influence), parents who are educated on education.
PPII (Positive Parent Involvement and Influence) in its simplest meaning involves parents who are educated on education. A greater understanding is that these parents are able to positively influence the course and outcome of their child's education because they are able to recognize, access, assess, and if necessary, create quality education for their child.
